okay, tonight (sat.)., i was leaving expressions cafe where my brother in law's band is playing, well im the last to leave and get stuck waiting on traffic, so i finally get out and am doing about 50-55 down college tryin to catch everone else cuz they talked about goin out to eat...well just as i catch up and we are turnin into village in... :o blue lights come on, cop came flyin up, pulled me over, got off with a verbal warning....

about an hour and a half later, im leavin (about 1am) and i decided since it felt so nice i would just cruise up college (going the speed limit) and then come back and go home to rogers....well a cop is pulling out of taco bell as im heading back towards the mall...and he gets over behind me and starts tailing me....i know i have been doing 41 mph the ENTIRE time....well, sure enough, when im almost to fiesta square.... :o blue lights come on...at this time im thinking WHAT THE F***!!!! so i pull in, and the cop was really cool and polite, and tells me my license plate is too dirty, (when it was not bad at all, perfectly visible) he said he couldnt see it from far back, and my tail lights were sorta dim cuz my blackouts...and i had one bulb out in one of them....so i was just like what a bunch of BS!!!!!! i give him my license and he says, did u already git pulled over tonight, i say yes about an hour and a half ago, he just sorta chuckles and says im sorry man, have a good night. <_<

now both cops were pretty polite....but that just PISSED ME OFF HARDCORE THE SECOND TIME!!!!!!

sorry...long post, just venting! be CAREFUL going down college! lol

That blows. They use to do that to me too.

Rogers does too...

I went to meet up with Alex and Maliwho tonight at 6 and we left in a friends car. My car was parked by the curb at my place. I am a corner lot next to the road, and my car was facing the wrong way on the street like 2 1/2 or 3 car lengths from the stop sign.

So a cop came over while i was gone and asked people at my place who's car it was. They had a beer in their hand when opening the door and the cop just had to ask if they would come move the car for him. i guess he tried to make his bust

Anyhow, he said that he could ticket me for parking the wrong direction if he really wanted to... and whats funny, is thats the first time that car has ever been parked there for like 9 months!!! Some one with a white car always parks there and they never have had a problem before????

Guess it was cause it was either black, or cause i gotta goto court monday for speeding and they happened to run the plate (since it was facing the main road)

Asses <_<

oh.... i've decided i am gonna have someone make me some vinyl stickers of one of those Orange road barrels with the reflectors.... Im gonna put 3 of em on my car so they look like road barrels

I dunno that sounded stupid huh? Maybe a blowup manekin like the cops use in their unoccupied cruisers. Or just leave the flashers on with an extension cord charging the battery.

yea man i fucking hate cops man, i fucking speed and have tail lights out and they do their job and pull me over, them mother fuckers, what a bunch of assholes man...

do you sense my sarcasm... you broke the law, and they ALMOST did their job properly, you deserved a ticket in both cases but didn't get one.... and you have the nerve to complain about them letting you off... crazy.. i'd hate to see how much you gripe and moan when they actually do give you a ticket

maybe u didnt see this post buddy, like i said i was very lucky to get off for speeding, i admit that was dumb on my part and i lucked out...i didnt think it was illegal to have 1 buld in a tailight out when there are two other working ones on that side....i think that having a license plate being a little dirty and the tail light issue was a ridiculous reason to pull me over, i thought it was ironic i got pulled over twice in one night, that was the point of my post. so if ur gonna be a sarcastic punk about it, when i added that i was lucky and was in the wrong, thats dumb, i admitted it was my fault, dont be a dick. bud

all the things i said slammin the PD was sarcastic, simmer on down...

1meanTA
Jan-5th-04, 12:54 am
LOL! ok man, do u know what a blackout is...? it doesnt make the taillights non visible, during the day it looks like they are solid black until u hit the brakes or turn on a signal, they are perfectly visible and EASIER to see at night....do ur homework pal. yes, by law, they are in fact illegal, a friend of mine checked, but the officer said the police wouldnt pull someone over or ticket them for that.

the thing that makes me mad is that u made my post into a "bitching session" which was not what it was, i thought it was ironic, pulled over twice in under two hours, yes i was mad about the second time, cuz it was a bit picky on the cop's part. i never said anything about actually being mad or thinking the cop was in the wrong, i didnt diss anyone, i just said it was aggrivating, why dont u stop trying to make it into something its not for arguments sake and grow up..

i'm trying to educate you.. look at your thread title....

COPS SUCK...

well they are doing their job, i just want you to understand that. I break the law alot... but you know what.. i'm prepared to be hassled by the police, and prepared to pay any necessary fines if i must... why, because i was breaking the law

i just don't understand why you say they suck, when they could have ticketed you 2 times, but they didn't.... they sound damn cool to me

the title was more sarcastic than anything, the suckiness being that they nailed me two times in one night. im very aware of how lucky i was, i have been pulled over ELEVEN times...with one written warning to show for it... i know just how generous cops can be! my cousin is a fay. cop, Danny Curtis if any of you know him, and my best friend's uncle is a cop in rogers. i didnt mean to come accross as a jerk, or a whiney kid, the title wasnt meant towards the officers themselves. i appreciate u trying to make sure i saw the lesson in all of this, the last post u made really cleared things up verge.

btw....what kind of car do u drive verge? n where u at lokomotion friday nite?

I agree, cops are just doing their job. But I must add.. Johnson police officers nit pick everything! If the speed limit is 30, and you're doing 31/32/33, you're pulled over. Not EVERY time, but they will nail you for any little thing.

The Rogers cops I've met have been awesome. Really laid back and cool. Have yet to ticket anyone I know or anyone I've been riding with. Bentonville is questionable, but for the most part are nice guys. I've yet to run across a Fay-town cop.

Most i've met are really cool, its just the older ones that possibly use to be judges or an ex(something). The older ones tend to be more agressive. I dont have any problems with Police Officials, its just when they are breaking the law on purpose - that makes me upset. True, i cant say that if i ever actually become an officer, i wouldnt break the law a few times, but I have a high moral value to upholding important laws put there to protect citizens. All of my actions that I choose to make are controlled actions that will result in harm to no one but myself.

My love and emotional bonds with automobiles makes me be more sympathetic and respectful to others' autos. I would never damage another persons vehicle if i could prevent it. I know what its like to have your precious vehicle in a pile of smoking rubble and I wouldnt wish it on anyone.

Dont know where i was going with that, not really any points i was intending to make... just blabbing ^_^

I had a point i was gonna make but never did. Why is it such a big deal that my car is interfering with the life of others to such an extent that an officer must come and knock on the door at 9:pm to ask someone to move it. A semi could still maneuver down my street with a trailer attached. If someone could not see my vehicle because it is black or the distance between my vehicle and the other side of the road is not substancial... SLOW THE FUCK DOWN....
25 MPH not 50 and there is this red Prelude that lives down the road from me who goes by my place with a sonic boom, takes a little over a second for him to pass the house at 110.
PRELUDE: I hope you loose a wheel and flip! If your on this forum, i just wanna tell you what a jackass you are. How fucking ignorant are you? I welcome to you my house so i can break your nose. And when you do eventually hit a child, which are always in the street, I will break it again for you too.

I wouldnt park as to interfere with traffic. The Point was, why pick on me when he could be running radar (it was Saturday night) or maybe watchin for my Prelude to fire up his turbines. Maybe he would like to come tell me i cant have my fuel door open while parked on the side of the road or some bullshit.

I dont care that he was doing his job, it was just the way he did it.

I believe it states somewhere, that you must be 150 Ft from either intersection or stopsign. True i am not, but we dont even have a stop sign, someone is prolly entertaining their guests with it as we speak.

if you wish to complain about johnson cops... go right ahead... or farmington police as well... but the fayetteville guys have never done me wrong.. gave me a speeding ticket, but i was speeding pretty bad, and sure as hell deserved it. They've been called on our parties many times, never once did anything...

one time we were making dry ice bombs with pop bottles... we had one made and were waiting for it to explode when a cop pulls up in our driveway... BLAMO!!! it blew up right when he was sitting there... he was cool as can be though.. he laughed at how bored we were and left...

yea i wuz at lokomotion.. i was there with the other NWAi guys

I understand your gripe, 1meanTA...
I realize you aren't dogging ALL cops, let alone ALL Fayetteville cops..more or less, just the asshole cops that have nothing better to do than harrass and try to scare US (you know who) when we're trying to stay outta trouble.

2 weeks ago, I was looking for some cruisers in Rogers and I caught up with that dude that has the CRX that looks like Hendrix's old one...
Anyway, he was cruising with a white Civic hatch, not visually modified, and another one ( I can't quite remember, I think an EX) that was also not visually modifed, but for a lowering job.
Anyways, I latched onto them and we went up Walnut and turned right on 8th, at that light that has the curve to it where you only have to yield. Well, regardless of that, the dude in the CRX, being in front, he was first to the light and, I swear this, he DID actually stop, fully, before continuing onto 8th...hell, the rest of us didn't. Well, there was a Rogers cop sitting in AutoZone parking lot and he first jumped in behind all of use, then sped up to get behind the CRX, flipping his lights on and pulling him over at Burger King.
I can attest that we NEVER got above 35mph (which is the speedlimit there) and he didn't break one, damn law. Trust me, I was paying SERIOUS attention (one more ticket and I'm over the top on points).
We (me and the rest of his crew) eventually pulled into Taco Bell, then I bugged out to drop my friends off.
I haven't talked to homeboy in the CRX to find out what it was all about, but I think the cop was just trying to scare him into his house for the night.
I hope it didn't work.

Anyways, 1meanTA, I know what you're talking about. I believe that most all of us have had one run in where, had we been in a minivan/suv/4drSedan, etc, we would NOT have gotten messed with.

Ill complain about any cops ive meet so far except for Fayettville cops. I was in a finder binder today not in my RX7. But no damage to the car I was driving and minimal damage to the car the lady was driving. The passanger was a bitch but ill tell the story later. The cops show up and the dont give me a ticket for careless driving or anything like that

i was at a stoplight and looked down for 1 sec and bumped the car at 1-3 mph

The passenger jumped out of the car and started saying her back was killing her but when i asked about an ambulance she said no. I think she was faking it because if you hurt your not going to feel it right away because of adrenalin and she was moving around like it didnt hurt.

:o MAN! that is so much BS about the passenger lady, whatta jerk. some people will do anything to get money and such....lucky this chick didnt press charges on you, but i bet if she did, she could probably win and throw a million dollar law suit and win....its ridiculous how that shit works now.. thats cool that the cops were good sports about it.

Yeah, you got off lucky man. I've done that before. Only it was in a drive thru at McCdonald's. No damage to the truck I bumped as he had a hitch on the rear and it barely rubbed a bit of paint off of my Z31. Glad to hear your 7 is running again. don't worry about the smoke I'm sure she's just clearing her throat. Let me know if you ever need an extra hand! I'm not around that much longer!

my roomate was looking down at something, and plowed some sorority girl's civic in his old F150... completely distroyed her rear end, did like 5,000 dollars in damage... the cop didn't give him a ticket though, even though he admitted to looking down and smashing into her

he was like "u got insurance, ok, i don't think i need to go writing any tickets then today"

The 4 Fayetville cops i ran into F*ing suck. They gave me a ticket for careless driving and i wasnt doin a damn thing. We (the nwafba) were on a cruise and were just driving in a line. There were i believe 7 cars. They pulled me over because "i was the last one (which i was really the 3rd from the back) , and Everyone was doin 5mph over the speed limit" THose were his reasons but the funny thing is , he never clocked anyone, and was never stopped. I really did not do anything to deserve this ticket. He also told me that we dont need to drive together as a group like that ever again.Another cop lectured my friends that were waiting for me across the street about racing even though no one was. Then he lectured them about making their engines sound like we were racing. I think that if you are racing or anything like that , you dont need to bitch if you get caught and get a ticket or even if you are just speeding. But i seriously did not deserve a ticket. We took them to court...no ticket...they had no proof of anything.
