Why? just get a B18 that has more power and doesnt weigh much more than the b16. B16 are too small. Wait, can you fit a B18 in your civic? I think you can. not sure :surp:

a B18C would require the same amount of work as a B16. The B16 is a good engine, pretty good power, but next to no torque. But it is also somewhat inexpensive compared to the other options...
B16 swap - $1200-1700 - 1.6 VTEC - 160 hp - 111 ft/lb torque
B18A-B swap - $1000-1500 1.8 non-vtec - 140hp dunno on torque, but more than B16
B18C1 (USDM) - $3000 - 170 hp - 128 ft/lb
B18C5 (ITR, JDM) - $4500-5000 - 195 hp - 130 ft/lb
Then you have your more torquey setups; B20/VTEC CRV block with GSR or B16 head - LS/VTEC (B18A with VTEC head) - H22A Hasport makes mounts for this swap now
H22's go for about $1500 from what I've seen, haven't looked too much into it, but its a hard swap; a bit of cutting involved... I think you have your heart set on a B16, but there are some other good engine possibilities like a SOHC VTEC, ZC (1.6 non-vtec).
So with that in mind, a good place to get a B16 is www.Hmotorsonline.com (http://www.Hmotorsonline.com). They have very good prices, and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Talk to Maliwho97 on this board, he has a lot of off the wall B series stuff for sale.
EDIT: The B18 does weigh about 60 lbs more than the B16. The extra weight is ok for drag racing, but its not the best for daily driving or autoXing.

Dirty! :o
Right now I don't have anything in my Civic. I have a DOHC non-VTEC ZC on the way, its in Little Rock right now; it'll be here tomorrow. In my other project, I have a D15B7/B2 hybrid going on :P. Its all about the dual point injection. Yeyah. I'm having too much fun with this. Its a hunk of crap, its not even running right now, and I have no clue whats wrong with it.
BTW, I plan on selling both of my hatchbacks soon if you're interested. I had a link around here somewhere....

The B7/B2 was supposed to be my daily driver, but I just got a '97 Isuzu to drive around. The red civic was going to be my track only car because I'm wanting to stop street racing. I have a lot of things done to it, but most of it was building up for racing and I'm just now getting the engine and only have basic bolt-ons for it; so its not going to be a great track only car. I don't really know though. I'm for sure going to sell the B7/B2, but I dunno about the red car. I don't have enough money to buy parts any more...
