Does anyone have any recoomendations for radar detectors that are cheap (less than say 250dollars)? I have heard that cobras are really good. Anyone have any experiencee with those?

i won't say anything about how its done, you got to get ahold of busa for that, but i went that route and got one and love it and haven't got a ticket since

well i would like one, but i have a problem with the fact that everytime
you near an electronic door the thing goes off.
maybe that is the old style but for some reason i still cant get that
buzz out of my head :o

They will go off at electronic doors IF you leave it in Highway mode, that mode doesn't filter out anything. There are 3 different City modes to filter traffic lights and electronic doors out.

ya automatic doors work off motion which is controlled by radar hense why they go off but Cobras are fricken awesome mine has save my ass I would say 25 times in the past year that would have been well in excess of $1000 the way I drive

I am my own radar. I used to get tickets 'til I noticed how to spot them real easy. I noticed that Each City has their own Brand of cars. (Springdale = Ford, Chevy Impalas. Johnson = Intrepids, Etc.) I just look for them and keep my mind on cops, while i'm driving on the road..i usually go 5 over and I always have to beware.
