Exerpt from Sport Compact Car Magazine, Volume 16,Number 1

In 2005, Chevy will replace the Cavalier with a car called the Cobalt. Now that you know that, we ask you...

Should Chevy keep the name Cavalier or is dropping the name the right move?

You may discuss here, but if you're just itching to get your response in the magazine, email your answer to sccnews@primedia.com
(Don't forget to include your name & address  )

It honestly depends on what market they are trying to appeal to. If they want to appeal to the younger tuner market, yes. We've all grown to accept the Cavalier as the red-headed step child of the sport compact scene, and if they want to have a different reputation for their compact car, changing the name is appropriate. If they wish to appeal to those customers who have always stood by GM products, and swear by their chevrolet cavalier as being the best investment of an automobile they've made, no..... Thats just my two sence.
