I was out looking at my car and I can see that my front tires stick out at the bottom a bit too much and I want a good shop that will do a good job and tell me if I need c/c plates.
Thx

The Tire Shop in Bentonville did a real good job for me. They had no problem with my requested custom specs and were very reasonable at $35. They are open Mon - Fri and take appointments in advance.

So Jesse its going to be more like 135? still
Chew I doubt they would charge me 35 bucks because at the ford dealer mine obviously with fooked up.

It was $90 for a part and $60 for labor. I don't know exactly what Mike found on it, but if you needed parts, you must've bent something when you hit the curb. So, you can't exactly call this "just an alignment", we're not just hooking it up to the machine and adjusting some camber castor & toe here. There is quite more to it than that. I don't doubt that you could get a cheaper price if you look around enough, but at least you know at a Ford dealership you're going to get things done right.
too bad you're not in F'ville.....you could bring it to our shop. ;)
I read this board and forget that most of your are from Rogers area. :(

I should also probably mention that The Tire Shop was very meticulous and worked until they got my desired toe out set right to the thousandths of an inch (I had already maxed the camber out myself and was looking for them to set each side at +0.031" toe).
I'm told that they get their equipment calibrated every month or two.
I guess none of this really helps though if you have damaged suspension components.

I got my tires aligned at NorthWest tires by walmart-sams club in Sprindale. It was around $50+ give or take

I think Lazarus was trying to explain that there were some parts you needed too, but okay.

Yeah I know but I want to know what kind of part it is? I have a friend that will sell me barely used caster/chamber plates for 80 bucks so I might just do that and get the alignment. But I sure dont want to wait.

So you've obviously lowered your car..... Get a camber kit that is made for your car, they aren't universal..... The Tire Shop in Bentonville is who I recommend for alignment jobs

 That might be the biggest pile of nonsense I've seen yet.
1) It is ridiculous to think that you must pay more because you have done work to your car. Neither I nor our club president paid more than $35. He has a Pro kit and I have a Ground Control set up.
2) The Tire Shop does not use "chalk and string".
3) A dealer is only going to put you back to factory specs. That isn't what you need or want if your car is lowered.

This has to be a joke.
I got my alignment at the Tire Shop, in Bentonville. Not only did I only pay $35 including tax (actually, it was less but I'm rounding up), but I was able to use my own specs...not factory. On top of this, I was under the car helping.
Chalk And String...LOL...I'm not calling you an idiot, but if the shoe fits...
Take the car to the dealership...if you are wanting factory specs. If not, take it to the tire shop. Acutally, if it is me, my car does not EVER go to the dealership unless it is warranty work...and even then I make sure it is worth it. Most dealership service doesn't know its a** from an exhaust pipe. I would take it to an alignment shop to begin with.

Wicked SS, please introduce yourself in the introductory thread. Besides that, I'm not about recruiting members over to argue with seemingly malevolent arguments. If you're not here to give advice or contribute something other than argumentative clause, please leave. This goes for you as well, 92preludesi.

I'm going to have to agree with Wicked SS on this one, since I know for a fact that any competitive automotive establishment knows the dangers of overcharging for services that are common, and can be shopped by any intelligent consumer. Just FYI.

You have one out of ten of getting it right. I have worked at several dealerships and know there expertise. Most of those guys come straight out of school where specialty shops have been there done that.

Paid too much! 35 should be the most you should ever have to pay, No matter what the equepment there using.
Hey Jesse, Do you think ya'll could install underdrive pullies at a dealer? [QUOTE] They could do it but they will charge big bucks, and pullys are somewhat simple to do on the gt's. I installed a set made by saleen for a guy at a shop I worked at. But if you don't want to do it I would take it to a small shop, Most people who start these shops have been with dealers for decades and are pretty cheap. Just look for ASE certification certificates when you go in.

Well, if we're relying on our fathers, mine's an English Professor---and I know classes cost more when your kids' grammatical skills have been lowered.
That's my two cents, anyway. I still haven't seen a list of reputable alignment facilities---which I believe is the purpose of this thread, right?

I don't give a shit who your father is. Try living on your own without being under your fathers wing. You're not going to get anywhere in this world depending on mommy and daddy. Did I mention I couldn't care less who your father is or what he does, oh okay, I guess I did. If I said my father was Bill Gates, would you give a shit? Because I am not Bill Gates. Maybe you should get a life of your own. Take away your daddy and what do you got? A nobody with an expensive car and payments he can't make.
Maybe instead of shitting on everyone else on this forum, you should clean off your own doorstep. That goes for all of you posting on this forum trying to be the cock of the walk. I've watched this forum grow and the people who were here from the beginning have made this good. Until you showed up. You're not worth any of these peoples time. Drop your holier than thou attitude, get over it and leave.
Sorry administrators, I know I'm banned. But at least I said my peace. If I'm not banned, I'll be around more often.

Hey IE, you took that WAY WRONG. My earlier post wasn't meant to attack anyone's character, simply call into awareness the silliness of typing phonetic ebonics. I'm sure we ALL know that's just odd.
And, if you want to make remarks towards ME, or anyone else posted on a public forum that can be considered slanderous or defaming, let me remind you of the 'Freedom of Information Act', and it's affects on printed (or typed) material being usurped for criminal litagation. That means, if you POST slanderous material about anyone IN or ON a public environment, and it is recorded in ANY way (aka PRINT SCREEN), it can be used as evidence for defamation of character, and make it possible for any vindictive individuals to sue you to the brink of bankruptcy. Carefull, now.
IE, you don't even know me from Adam, and you've shot your mouth off with random insults, hoping to hurt or cause some amount of shame to a grown man that gave up that behavior long ago. That's pathetic. Don't let that be what is telling of your character. BTW, I haven't been a kid for at least 18 years, and I've got the degree, and the house, and the job, and the car---ON MY OWN. I've earned it, so go accuse someone else of being a pampered brat, and save the childish insults for another thread.

Alright. First of all, this is rediculous. This petty arguing is coming to a halt, now. TWo people are getting warned. Import_Enthusiast & General Disregard. Why, you ask? One, the foul language used in I.E.'s post. Two, General Disregard, you could have ignored his message & moved on. You added fuel to the fire. Plain and simple.
As well, I guess you've not read the terms of service. Which, by the way, you agreed to when you signed up. There is no excuse for this. I'm not trying to "prove you wrong" or anything of the sort, but it is up to NWAImports.com to reveal personal information about Import_Enthusiast, or any other member of this forum for that matter.
WE make the rules here, as you've might've read on LRRS, "This is not a democracy". This kind of arguing will not be tolerated. This is a forum for the free-flowing and robust of information.. Not for what is going on. If you can't agree to the rules we set forth, please exit the service now.
As well, I would suggest you read the terms of service immediately, as it is a legal binding contract, and you've already agreed.
