Alright guys, I was looking for a Probe. But now I don't care really. I just want a car that I can get for under $800 or $900 that can be modified. Let me know if you guys find anything.

I know any car can be modified, I am talking about easily modified cars. That are easy to find mods for.

easy to mod, honda, fun to mod probe. probe > honda (unless it is a 92-98 (eg and ek) civic HB, LSVTEC turbo, then LSVTEC >>> probe lol.)

The bigger the demand of parts for a certain car, the easier it is to find the parts. So basically you'll just be buying a car that everyone else mods. Not saying thats a bad thing because look at me driving a CRX... I love it, and thats all that matters, but I don't want to hear you complaining down the road that everyone has a car like yours :P

I don't think I'd be like that. I'm not that kind of guy. I will enjoy anything that I put my money and time into.

Thats the attitude everyone needs to have!! :).

Anyways, what kind of car are you generally looking for. Import, domestic, FWD, RWD, AWD, Turbo, supercharged? You need to check out the local auto auctions. You can find some pretty interesting cars for somewhat cheap. I've seen cars like Shelby Dusters, AWD Eclipses/Talons, 5.0 Fox body mustangs, Hondas, everything. Just a little tip

well, I would like a Probe still. But maybe a CRX or something like that. Something fairly easy to work on.

I keep telling everyone this, but there is a 1987 CRX Si for sale near Prairie Grove. Its red, fuel injected, they want $1175 for it. It needs a rear bumper, a sunroof switch and something else. I can't remember, but it was something small. Its easy to work on, its OBD0, but you can't use most D series motors in it like you can the 2G CRXs. You can put the 88-89 Integra DOHC D16A1 in it (bolts right in), and the aftermarket is growing for it since it is basically the same thing as the OBD0 ZC. Hasport makes some swap mounts to put a B16 in it, but B16 is a little heavy for that car IMO... Just a little info on it so you don't run into something you don't want.

A buddy of mine told me there is a 93 Probe GT in the paper somewhere from this weekend that has like 90K on it and they want $800 for it.

I doubt the tranny would be ok for just $800 but its still one of the cars you said your looking for.

I tried searching the Morning new's website, but it isnt updated for Monday yet, they must be doing it now.

A 98 Intrigue. That has a 3.8L V6. Its the same engine thats in Grand Prixs. As suprising as it may be, there is a lot of aftermarket for it.

Only problem is, I couldn't frive it for a very long time. I couldn't afford to put mods on it and drive it at the same time, insurance would cost me too much. I want to stick with my car cause I already have it and my insurance is paid for. Plus a 240sx locally is hard to find for my price range.

I forgot Polytheneguy was trying to sell his red 240sx for $2000.

Check out www.N-body.net (http://www.N-body.net). There is all kinds of info on the Grand Am's, Grand Prix's, Olds Aleros, and maybe some Intrigue info too. I had a good like for Grand Prix mods. Someone who was obviously extremely bored put a list together of every mod that was made specifically for the Alero, and he also made on for the Grand Am's... I just can't find it... That was a good year ago since I was finding stuff for my Alero...
