What's up...
Wanted to tell about this..it's import bragging one way or another.
This morning, on the way to work, I'm gettin' on I-540 at 102, headed south (towards F-ville). I usually take it to the Walnut exit (next one) because it's faster than the other ways that run parallel to it.
Anyways, as I'm yielding, this MX-6, more or less identical to Treipsyn's goes in front of me. He's got a muffler and seems to put a little on it as he goes by me, so, since I was running pretty early, I decided to have fun. It's been forever since I got a fun race going because traffic has gotten worse lately, but since school's out for vacation, it wasn't TOO bad on 540.
So, by the time I swim through the traffic that there was and caught up to him, we were passing Pinnacle/New Hope exit. Based on experiences of late, I figured he'd have gotten off there, but he didn't, so I knew it was meant to be.

So, I'm behind him, kind of dancin' a bit to catch his attention, and sure enough, puff of smoke from his exhaust lets me know he downshifted and got on it.

So, I did the same. I pretty much stayed on his bumper until we shut down about 100 so I was feelin' a little cocky. Well, I must have been catching a little drafting action, because he pulls into the right lane and I eased up next to him. I looked over and his windows were tinted, so I couldn't tell if he really wanted to race or not. Well, I left it in 5th and kind of eased my front bumper up a bit and no sooner had I moved past him then I heard his muffler start whining! He was going!!

I went to 3rd (@ about 80mph) so VTEC was on the verge of hitting, but by the time it did, my front bumper was at his door and with the momentum he had from his 6, he ended up with my front bumper at his gas cap. Well, there is a car in his lane and, not being the asshole, I eased back and let him squeeze by since he was clearly ahead. Well, that was enough and we both eased up to right about 80 again, mind you this is all before getting within 1 mile of Pleasant Grove Rd. exit. If you know the spot, you know that you go under an overpass, then up and around a curve, where that Knife Factory is over on the other side of 540. Well, as we round that curve, only doing 80, completely going with the flow of traffic, it just so happens that a silver State Trooper Impala was on the shoulder...OUR shoulder.

Well, we pass him and he actually pulls into traffic, not pursuing, just gets in with the flow. Well, I get off on Pleasant Grove Rd. to flip a bitch and go back to Walnut. As I'm cruisin' off the exit, I see the cop park under the overpass.
So, I go over 540 and then enter back on, Northbound. Of course, he's sitting under the bridge. No biggie, I KNOW he hadn't caught us doing shit, but I'm thinking some nosey yuppie called on us on a cellphone and he was just trying to scare us a bit.
Well, I get about 1/2 a mile down 540 and look back to see blue lights screamin up behind me. SHIT!!! Wait, I'm gettin' cocky because I KNOW this guy has nothin' on me.

Well, it turns out he nabbed someone else speeding, but I cruised around the curve and, once out of sight, nailed it til the Walnut exit.

Anyways, I know I COULD have outdriven the MX6 because he was iffy about racing in the first place, but I believe he had a bit more power at the wheels than I did. Either way, it's probably better that we were both feeling a little passive, or, I don't know about him, but I'd be without license...and that would SUCK!!!
