I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Has a 3.8 liter V6 and I want an intake but have no idea where to get one that will work for my car. Since it isn't really a car to be modified this is the only thing I want and not many people make intakes for it. I think it would sound awesome though. If anyone knows where I could get one please let me know. Thanks a lot!

go to safe t brake and muffeler in bentonville they can custome make you one for next to nothing. The only thing that will be expensive will be the filter but not too bad.

You can pick up your filter @ CSE whenever you're ready. http://www.nwaimports.com/shops.html#CSE :)
hey man this is vegas at custom speed engineering, i found you an intake that will fit your car for about $95. come in to my store and i will show you a picture. if you decide you want it ,it takes about 5 days to come in... :maliwho:

not tring to deter business from you vegas...but just through a k&n filter in it...will prob. make more power than a shortram intake and will sound good too
no offense taken. another good idea

I built a custom one for my 3.1 malibu by purchasing 3 silicone reducers, and an 18" long, 3" diameter pipe with a 45 degree bend in the middle. I cut the pipe in two pieces and replaced the stock intake in two sections- One section is from your throttle body to your MAF sensor, the other is from the MAF sensor out to a filter. I also pulled the honey comb crap out of the maf sensor. I put a weapon R dragon filter with the optional heat shield and ram air kit, and it worked WONDERS. :D

Ok, so should I come to Custom Speed and get an intake or just change the filter out? I just really want the sound, not so much power, I'm not gonna race my Intrigue. I just want it to sound cool.

So should I go to CSE and get the intake or just order a K&N filter?

if vegas' intake is "cold air", by all means go for it
if not, here is a CHEAP intake that comes with a K&N, not trying to jack his business (if it were like a $15 difference i wouldnt say anything)
