Hey all, I'm looking for a speed sensor for a 2nd gen MX-6 LS. (2.5L V6). It has to be a Mazda manu., it cannot be a Ford manu. from a Probe GT.
So, if anyone knows where to find one, let me know.
I've talked to a few of my guys but had no luck :(
All recent mazda's have been crushed and i've found nothing out about the 2.5 ltr V6 i was looking for either.
I have yet to goto local bone yards but i doubt anything will turn up - even if i found one at JYD, they would charge like $200 for it
I'll keep looking
BTW: did you find out if the sensor differences are electrical or physical? I can build something for the sensor to properly function with that computer if it turns out to be electrical.

Lazarus talked to Mike and he thinks its more than likely electrical. Because, the other sensor is in the engine internals, and if it had been a problem with the internals, the car would want to die while it was driving down the road: and that wasn't the case. So, we're going to go ahead and say "WE THINK" it is the electrical sensor.
Lazarus called around and found it for $75 at Mazda. But, you probably already knew that. :P Chris doesn't seem to have a problem forking out the $$$ for it, although he estimated it being around $30-$40, still this is a brand new speed sensor.. I wonder if it has a warranty..
