Just got back from main in Joplin and im finally pleased with my pos. Anyways, stood around for a while, bored as hell, watching teenie boppers being stupid and i see a 5.0 purging, nice little cam and who knows what else. I started cruising and within a few minutes i got behind him and i started purging. After a few stop lights and some zigzagging and a few fingers i finaly get beside him and asked him if he wanted to go and he was kinda just staring at me. I said yeah i know you run low 12's i remember you from the website. (Joplin-Kansas website) I was like, i know you'll probably beat me but there's noone else up here worth racing and im spraying also. So he starts to drop down gears, were doing about 25-30 and we both hit it, i sprayed while in low boost (12-13lbs or so) and we both spun real bad till about 50 and we stopped i pulled about a car and a half on him but i'll call it even as i might have hit it just before him. He pulls over and starts doing some adjustment in the trunk, then pulls out some box from the passenger side and messes with it and says, ok im ready. Im like thinking, dam im not. Oh well. I had just put in some nice fresh expensive $1.50 champion plugs as i heard rumors about the ones i had and i figured i was toast this time so i went for broke and switched to high boost so i could backfire and go home. Again we hit it about the same mph and holy shit, i couldnt hardly hear his car my tires were spinning so bad so i let off the juice, hit 3rd and juiced her again and started spinning again but it was pulling real hard so i stayed in it as i figured any second now hes gonna come flying by me. I hit 4th and was spraying and looked up and i had him beat by about 5 cars so i stopped and we pulled over again. He was spraying a 150 and said his best run was a 12.2 or 3 on street tires which i knew. Personally i couldve lost and i would have been almost as happy, i havent felt nos come on that hard in a long time and it was smooth as can be, FINALLY. I think his biggest mistake was racing me from a roll though, cause when my cars running good it traps 108-111, same as a lot of the low 12 and mid to high 11 second cars. I think i wouldve just barely caught him or lost in a full quarter but i didnt tell him that. Maybe i should go from a 75 shot now to a 125. Hmm, anyone want to come watch the fireworks?
