Sad, Sad day....................

Wrecked the snake today. Prolly going to get totaled. Damage to the front and the rear. I wasn't driving fast, it was a very hot day, short rain burst made the pavement very very slick. Rear end kicked out in a sharp curve, got a Toyota Corrolla with the front (glancing blow), then spun around and nailed a Dodge Ram in the left front tire with the back of the snake. Sub Frame welds still intact so there is my ray of hope. Total distance from initial loss of traction to the car being stopped was less than 50 yards. A total accident, I would feel better about it if I had been driving like I usually do, then I could blame me for it. 3 cars, 5 people involved, no injuries so that is something to be thankful for. Not sure how much I will get if it is totaled, the car is paid off. Anyway, be careful out there. Peace

I must concur. On a side note: Don, if at all possible (I'm not too knowledgable on all this), would you be willing to part with your T56?? J/W....probably not even possible, but wishful thinking eh?

Thats what I was thinking. You can get a lot of money for a lot of the parts if it isnt too too bad. If the engine is okay you can get probably 8 grand outta it. Tranny 1 grand. Front and rear seats 1,500. It might be more money for you if you part it out. I know I'd take some stuff. :maliwho:

Looked at an EVO, didn't like it. Drove an STI, didn't like it. But I did find a 2004 350Z Track edition, used 6740 miles that, if they total my car, the check will cover. I like it. Thanx for all the support

Has nothing to do with AWD. The first one we tried to test drive, Black with gold wheels, made and awful clunking noise in the center or rear diff. The salesman said he had to get that one serviced. We had to drive another one. Felt like a go-cart. The 350Z shifted smooth and was very refined yet nimble and quick. Still holding onto that small ray of hope that the snake won't be totaled, but it is a very small ray.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate happenings Don. Seems this year too many NWAI'ers have had some type of terrible loss, but on the bright side everyone has been lucky enough to be able to tell us about them.

Actually Merk, it is black and has no mods. BDP, thanx actually I will come out on top because I own the car. I paid it off about a month ago. Fair market value is between 25 and 30k.
