I bought this car in Sept when I was jobless to be a fun little fixer. I got a killer deal on it due to the broken timing belt.

the cute girl who owned it blew the trans in it and her father took it to VW of NW AR to be replaced and 5k later she had a new tiptronic in her 03 GLS.

500ish miles after that the t-belt went. I got it w/ a busted t-belt and proceeded to have the head redone and do a full t-belt kit w/ all the fixins , new fluids , and all that.

After lots of downtime w/ new job/ holidays/ moving/ waiting on parts & money she's finally done.

no cel or indicator lights!

Obviously I'd like to thank my buddy Mel for being more helpful than was necessary and being patient while I left it on his lift without a cyl head forever. can't tell you guys how awesome and helpful he has been. :2thumbsup:

I'll be putting her up for sale here soon: $6000 firm. TOTALLY worthy it. more maintenance has been done on this car than needed. will run perfectly for a very long time to come.

Now I just need to decide if I'm ready to get rid of the black car and move on to something else. Man I'm attached to that POS. :)

hey man what did all that engine rebuilding cost you? I'm trying to rebuild my 1.8T as well for my audi tt due to T/B being broken so my cylinder head is in the shop awaiting a price quote. LMK. THanks.
