Picking up a 97 Golf GL next week. Probably going to be selling the Jetta. The Jetta just isnt as reliable as I need my car to be right now. I'm sick of HAVING to work on the car just to be able to drive it to and from work. The Golf is 100% stock and only has 88k miles on it. It will have coils and BBS on it by next weekend.

I didn't have any luck with mk2's...so I'm bound to have more luck even if this one breaks down on me. ha

Plans include the BBS/coilovers next weekend. Then a bit of maintenance and maybe a few mods here and there. It's going to stay relatively stock engine wise (at least for now)...

ha...my car's paint is in bad shape. I need to do some paint restoration on it. not to mention i have a huge dent in the hood, and a cracked headlight.

they're just a 38mm offset. nothing crazy...yet.

Billiam - crack the other headlight the exact same way and it would be total buttsecks. And beat the fawk outta the hood with a bat (like clark did to his accord waaayyyy back) and rust it. clean errrrrything else up, do the lips u were talking about and leave it. :D


Ohhh, take the hood to a driving range, stand it up and let people hit golf balls at it...rust it. Done.

That is badass, I think I love this car. I would totally shoot it up, my brother-in-law and I were going to do that with the kia's windshield with an AK from the inside and take a video but he died. :( Never thought of the hood :)
