It's okay that you don't like the stretched tires, everyone has an opinion. I happen to like them, so they shall stay. It doesn't have much under the hood, just a stock 2.0 16v.

The new bumper and banana lights came in last week, so I'll take some pictures when they're on the car.

nah, it's going to stay relatively stock. this thing is my daily driver, so it's not going to be crazy. just clean and simple.

new BFI smoked sidemarkers on, and new bumper placed for fitment. (going to be painted this or next week) She's coming together. flares/trim are off so I can pressure wash the entire car, it's been sitting in a field for a while.

like I said before, she's just a daily driver. Not getting anything special. If I were to go forced induction though, I surely wouldn't waste my money on a poorly executed OEM VW supercharger.

I didnt say do the swap or you were-and I didnt say it was the best swap-i was just saying i think it would be nice and different with a g60. And i never said the g60 was a great design either but they arent bad if you keep the charger taken car of and change the bearings,oil and apex seals every 40k miles or so. Still its a nice ride your building and cant wait to see it finished-gl with build

For the amount people spend on those things (not to mention finding one in good shape), one could go faster for less monies. But I had planned on getting a set of nice cams and an exhaust to give the car some kick in it's gitty up. :)

Only a few more things to do. Gotta change the crank seal, install the innovate wideband, do something with the fenders so I can go lower, then get it tuned by dan the man. She should be cruising the streets very soon if all goes well.

Having a smaller tire on a wider rim creates a more bubble shaped footprint. Some of the AWD guys run smaller tire on the rear to allow the rear to pivot more due to the smaller contact patch. As for the majority of tire-stretchers, it's really just for looks. Kind of a Euro-thing. I think it looks good if not taken to extreme. Like, a 215 on an 8in rim is about as far as I would go. Some of the people go to extreme with like a 165 on a 10in rim...just looks silly if you take it that far.

Tire stretching actually started in Europe because the law would not allow the tire to stck out beyond the fender. So they would put smaller width tires on the wheels to avoid the hassle from the cops and still be able to run the wheels they wanted.

But I think he was talking about how low it is, and that is just my personal preference. :)

they're vmaxx coilovers, quite a few of the vw guys use them. they're not the best by far, but they were only about $400 new and they get the job done.
