Okay, and I'm not just posting this because of you, Mel. :)
I had to switch from a prescription I've been taking for over a year to something new because it just wasn't effective for me. So, my doctors' office priced the new RX for me at Wal-Mart-- $158 with ins. So I asked if they could price it anywhere else.. They called some places and I asked, "How much was it at Colliers?" They told me it was $35.xx ... I was like, wow that's like 1/5th of the Wal-Mart one. Well I also had another script for an NSAID for my wrist cuz I jacked it up somehow last week... The doctor said the 2nd one would be about $10-$12. So, I took my scripts over to Collier Drugs today, well, Friday, in Johnson by the Willow Hosp. I took $100 with me just in case. When I got ready to be rang up, the chick behind the counter said, "They were both only $4." .. I was like, "WHAT?" .. And she was like, yeah the $35 price was the cash price. I had to double check it but yeah they are both only $4/each." ...
Wow. Amazing. I paid $8 for my two scripts. Which, for both was $150 less than WM, which is where I go for all my scripts... So... Yeah I will certainly be switching pharmacies.
And, the ladies at the pharmacy were very sweet. They were very considerate.. And my RX's were ready in like 10 minutes. And they don't try to gouge you on the price of a soda, i know, weird i mention that, but most people don't carry cold drinks around to take their meds at the pharmacy so it's always handy that it's there..
Anyway, very impressed. This is my new pharmacy of choice. :2thumbsup: :king:
