What are the top 5 or 10 fastest cars in NWA?
the top 5-10 best looking cars in NWA?

Im wondering about our area not LR ect.

I think Derek Coleman's 300ZX TT is in the top 10 of the fastest (No I'm not talking about drag cars either).. He built that motor up himself. But, he recently cracked a head, so it's been off the streets for a little while. It's blue and pretty clean, he did the paint and body work all himself. I like it alot, except for the aluminum wing, which I urged him to remove. :lol:

BDP told me that Jason Fischgrabe's Acura CL looks 20 times better in person than the photos we have on the site. He said, "Photos just don't do it justice".. But, I haven't seen it in person. But, if I had, I'd be sure to say it is in the top 10 nicest looking. I don't know how it performs, but that car is really tight. To add to it, it's an Acura CL, you never hear of those, so it being a unique breed around here really helps as well. His plans for turboing it too, those get a :thumbup: in my book.

I'd also say Aaron with the 300ZX TT would be somewhere in the top 10-15 for looks. I have some photos of it since it got the body kit & rims (from the stock ones) and it looks pretty fucking good. But again, I haven't seen it in person nor do I know how it performs.

I think the orange 2nd gen 93/94 Probe GT gets my vote for looks as well. I don't see the guy too often, but he probably lives on the outskirts of Fayetteville. I'm not a big fan of the "look-at-me" orange, but the body work and everything is extremely clean and they worked well on it. Like I said, I'm not into the color, but the car is sheen. I'd drive it, and I don't really like body kits too well.

Abe Phillips (thanks for the name, Caleb) also gets my vote for looks. That car looks excellent. The colorscheme with those graphics are just perfect. I don't think he could've done any better. I'm a big fan of RSX S's, and when I saw the photos of the car with the Mokan stuff, I just flipped. I was wishing that car was from around here, boy what a surprise it was to get to post such a remarkable car. But again, I don't know how it performs.

I'm sure everyone knows of alot more people, I haven't gotten into the scene the way I should be, but it's alright. So, more input would be great. :victory:

You know what's funny, when you bring up turbo-ing...I had a dream 2 nights ago, that a friend of my dad's that locates cars for dealerships had found a wrecked Prelude with a Turbo'd H23 that was modded to push almost 400hp and he was going to sell it to me, installed, for about 500.00.

:lol: Well Jason, you did an awesome job. You should be proud. But, I think everyone on this side of the table can tell you're not the type to get a swelled head, so compliments can roll freely.

We have a really good crew over here on the forum. I mean, as small as the forum still is, the regular posters seem like awesome people with great cars that they care alot about. I just hope that if the site grows, we'll still keep this tight-knit community that has bound so tight already.

I like Bo's Lude...when I was looking for a Prelude, I had a plan for it and Bo pretty much nailed it on the head. Kinda makes me glad I ended up with the CL.

Yeah, I just hope people don't take the things said in this topic as "Pure Fact".. Ya know, you may think 'Johnny Gibson in his '93 MR2' are the fastest, and someone reads on this board that someone thought that and runs around telling everyone that "This website claims 'Johnny Gibson' is the fastest import in arkansas!" Then shit will get way out of hand.

So, I'm going to say this before this topic goes any farther; Everything on this forum is opinion (For the most part.). An answer to a question can vary from who you're talking to and their perception of the subject at hand.

Anything said on this forum is just that; opinion. So, if someone here says they think 'Johnny Gibson' has the fastest 'whatever' in NW Arkansas, it doesn't mean that is the view of this website, service provider, or all of the members of this board.

Just thought I'd add that in. :D

I think you'd almost kind of have to break it down, if nothing else, into the categories used by the track (i.e. 4cyl-all-motor, 4cyl-forced-induc, 6cyl-all-motor, 6cyl-forced-induc, 8cyl-all-motor, and 8cyl-forced induc).

There maybe a few I4's that will hang with or beat most the V8's around, but you will generally end up with the top of the list being the bigger motors...
This isn't fast and furious where EVERYONE's running around with giant turbochargers and 2 thousand shots of NOS!!

I have read so many forums debating whether or not NOS will blow up like in the movie like even Scientists and shit yelling about atoms and crap. I think its funny to hear people talk about -

im my opinion N2O - NOS is:

N.O.S. is Nitrous Oxide System it is a device and a brand who have become very street popular after 2000.

There are many grades of NOS and street racers have the 87 octane version.

NOS has been around since the war when it was used in planes, Smokey Yunick brought it back in the 50's or 60's for cheating :rolleyes:

I think since it is 50% more dense than air at the same pressure, it would cause a fire like that to just expand like crazy very quickly.
In the case of the movie thing, i have stuck with my own opinion and said "its a compressed bottle of air, if you burned the tank it would explode" like a spray can in a fire. But this should just make shrapnel and explode the windows unless the fire consumed the oxygen. I dunno. I wanna blow up a car by breaking a NOS tank :thumbup: just to see the effect ;)


and that whole floor pan thing, i think it was meant to descibe the SPEED of the car how he was going "so fast"

They're all gay. Like my post about double clutching and granny shifting, Why would you wanna granny shift in a street race with NOS? Maybe if i understand how to double clutch better, but i been doing it for years and i think i could speed shift better ^_^

Oh, and, my theory with the floorpan is, if that was air moving under the car and actually pushed his floorpan through, wouldn't it FIRST cause the car to lose grip on the road, possibly even causing to glide????
I saw that once happen to an RX7 that was going for the landspeed record ( or A record, atleast) and didn't have ANY method of downforce on the back...it got to like 220mph and then just, all of a sudden, it was in a flat spin across the salt flats tearing into pieces...wouldn't that have happened to the eclipse in F&F prior to the flloorpan actually coming apart?!@?!?!

When i was using i was scared to death of that. I was telling Mel (nos dealer) how i accidentaly left my heater on and buried the guage and was afraid to go near it. He laughed and said its not flammable and showed me on my own bottle with a worn out sticker, sure enough it says non flammable. Felt stupid but very relieved. Now if it didnt have a pressure relieve valve and got to hot or got punctured it could easily kill ya or go through the car. I've seen one report where it went through a guys roof and through a concrete wall.
