Wow, awesome effort. I wish I had more time to assist you as both Triepsyn and I can do HTML.

Do you know PHP or HTML at all or are you using some type of guide software? I found it odd that the forum wasnt working or linked right and the tables were spaced unevenly on "The News" page as well as there being extra words in the image urls for the mail...
haha it just dawned on me that tables and content was just deleted from the main index page causing it to appear lopsided.

There are some really nice FREE templates online which you can download and edit to your liking that is if your host allows you to have FTP access.
Oh and a HUGE hint, if you do get into coding or you want to learn... Get more than one monitor on your system! Its not impossible but a waste of time to build sites or code on one screen.

I will be more than willing to provide ideas if you need, just give me a PM and once I am able, I'll get back with you. I am far from an expert but can do anything and everything you see here as well as Triepsyn although she doesnt do PHP or forums too well.

Check out how we first started:
First Forum 9/03 http://nwaimports.proboards18.com/index.cgi
First 6 sites http://nwaimports.com/forum/showthread.php?t=177

I think the first forum only shows approx 40 members in the first year... this is where people typically have given up - lack of members. You will be the 4th? member to start a "local" site or club site that I am aware of. I dont think it matters regarding the size of your numbers, its more important to have that tight friendship amongst members who all share the same interests as yourself kinda like ZCARR had.

Goodluck!

Mike

I assumed you had done it... I dont know the software your using but it looked to me like it was an exact copy of the main "index" file but modified to remove some frames from the left side. There were also a couple invalid URL codings where the quotation marks were in the wrong place. The Images show red X's because their URL address includes the "index.php/".
<td align="right" width="100%" class="buttonheading">
<a href="/index.php/index.php/the-news/47-the-forth-coming?format=pdf" title="PDF" onclick="window.open(this.href,'win2','status=no,toolbar=no ,scrollbars=yes,titlebar=no,menubar=no,resizable=y es,width=640,height=480,directories=no,location=no '); return false;" rel="nofollow"><img src="/index.php/images/M_images/pdf_button.png" alt="PDF" /></a>
remove the /index.php in that last line after src= on the entire page and see what that does.
The image or links should be originating from where the file is on the server. If it is in root or your main directory then all image tags should start at "/" then the file name. If they are in a folder called something like images then the image tag should read "/images/" then the file name obviously.

Your server gave me this in response and I am unsure what your configurations might be because I dont have this knowledge.
Apache/2.2.10 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.10 OpenSSL/0.9.8i DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.ozarkeuros.com Port 80
Do you know where this page is physically or is it some call from the php page? You cant really remove this if the page doesnt exist. I wouldnt have PHP or anything related as my webpage since its a little more complicated thatn HTML but thats just my $.02

Typically if you are using a software editor on your PC then usually your IE will store the images and everything will look properly to yourself but not others. I use to use 3 different PC's when doing modifications so I knew at each save that everything would work for IE and FireFox users.

actually, on their DEMO site, Joomla links to HTML pages. I guess by the last post, you have used their software before?

http://demo.joomla.org/1.5/

Just found this decent dark template you might be intrested in that looks easy to modify using something like HTML Kit.
http://www.freetemplatesonline.com/templates/Free-Cars-Designs-65.html

I havent recieved the email yet so I wasnt able to download it for testing.
Most of these templates are just zipped up with a readme or index file to read. You edit text and change or leave photos, upload to your server (supporting apache) and go.

edit: they finally sent me the link http://www.freetemplatesonline.com/templates/download/65_ae15d8914605e06f4705a7a8ed86e7fa.zip (not sure if it will time out or not)

Decent easily editable index file with only a few tables. Nice background to match the forum and the image colors make it look simple to edit in another vehicle over originals like the porsche on the footer

Yeah, I've never even attempted to do PHP for a main site so I cant comment on that part.

I like the darker colors and everything seems to work fine. The main page does look a bit unbalanced but i'm prolly just use to my style. Did you choose to make it light colors or will it eventually be a darker style to match the gallery and forum skin?

Good job and good luck!
