Hey all you guys that are fans of the D series motor like I am, check this out.... If you're planning on going Turbo or S/C, look what I found out....

98-99 Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Stock bore size, 75mm. Full floating piston assembly stock. Usually can be found for about $100-$150. They can be used with stock 1.6 rods, and when used in the 1.6, they yield an impressive 8.5:1 compression. I was led to believe they were forged, but did more research and found out they are indeed cast pistons, but have a thinker ringland than do the honda pistons. This is a good mod for up to 250-300hp. :D You can thank me later. Peace out!

CAST! YUCKY!!! JE makes some custom pistons for the D series motors. I was looking at some that a guy had ordered from them, 9:1 with the thick ringlands. They are designed for up to 25psi and a little bit of nitrous as well. He got them for $595 for the set.

Thats awesome!!! I'll be running 24psi w/ a garrett T3/T4 on my Arias 8.8:1 pistons, I'm thinking about pulling them and getting 9.5:1 compression pistons instead.... :D
