so im trying to find something more suitable than my 7 yr old alpine(ftw) i need something with dvd. it doesnt need to have video but need 3 sets of pre-outs and tons of audio control. i found this

i dunno i have a 98 civic ex i dont think they make a double din conversion for it if they do i need to look it up when i get home.

i would recommend double din if you could. less moving parts to brake. and a double din is usually cheaper

yea looks like that you can use the same dash bezel from a 99-00 that has double din. but the ac controls are completely different and it would be a difficult conversion

yea that would be one way to go about it, i think ill just stick with single din until i can score a 99-00 parts car,

their flipout got really good ratings but this is a new model, the valor website doesnt even list it for sale yet

have you looked at ratings other places? Best Buy actually had a good deal on a kenwood this summer i think.. dunno if they still carry it or not but you might check...

i recommend staying with a mainstream brand. never been a big fan of clarion but i have heard good things. im just a big fan of kenwood excellon decks.

Those kenwoods have come a long way. I've always stuck with alpine. Been awhile since I needed an aftermarket system but I'll be lookin for my Mini soon. Alpine with definitely be the headunit.

Personally, I have always been very pleased with Pioneer. I know that many of the audio people on here would agree. They make a good quality product and overall, they are easy to use.
