Are those vented through the middle? They look a bit thin in there to get any great cooling between rotor surfaces. Nice set up though.

Word of caution, be sure to purge ALL the brake fluid from your master and lines before running the Super Blue fluid into the system.

The car is already running super blue form the last brake upgrade when i put SS lines on.

They are vented in the middle, but you are right the opening does seem a bit thinner than the stock rotors. Everything I have Got rotor wise before has been Brembo, these are Zimmermans so i guess time will tell how they do. I called brembo and they don't make A8 cross drilled only rotor for the A8, otherwise i would have gotten them.

The brakes have crazy dust! I'm hoping its just the pads bedding in, but I dont expect it to get better. The pads were like sandpaper when i put them in.

We used a re-branded item called Xzilon which created a molecular adhesion with the surface causing stuff to easily "wash off" or limit brake grunge... it was quite expensive and didnt work as well as I would expect for the price but it was some nasty stuff.

Isnt there a ceramic type pad that has minimal dusting or does this require a specific pad that isnt offered in a low-dusting model? It may be stated in the thread but I just drove 8 hours and didnt feel like reading the entire thread :P

I guess a person could reduce most of the dust in the future using a good wax or maybe by just keeping the throttle off the floor :D

i just spray tire shine stuff on my rims and it helps keep the dust from sticking.

yea that would work, the only car that ever gave me break dust problems was the mustang, but I always cleaned them with Mother's Mag Polish that it just wipped right off
