Some Subaru owners from the Dallas area were thinking about coming up to drive some roads, and I got to looking at a map to think about a possible route. I came up with an all day route, I don't know when or if they're gonna come but I'd like to do this even if they don't. So anyone from here want to spend a day driving in the mountains. It will be so much more fun to get a group than to do it alone. The route goes down highway 7 from Dardanelle to Hot Springs which is either a state or national scenic route, for Hot Springs to Queen Wilhelmina on I forget the road but it's another back road, Then on a different twisty backroad over to highway 309 (or is it 109?) in Havana, over Mount Magazine, through Paris and Ozark (another scenic byway), into 23 (the pig trail), turn on another twisty looking back road over to highway 7 again except further north than before (more scenic bymay), then head South back to Dardanelle, then probably finish by heading up Mount Nebo at around sunset. It's a little over 400 miles with a several mountain overlooks and other things we could take short breaks at so it's not constant driving. Plus I could use the opportunity to get a lot of footage for that movie thing. Since we'll be going near a good deal of the forums "viewing area" you could just join in when we get near you, or come to Dardanelle to meet at the start, whatever you want. So... whatcha think?

We won't be racing. Just a nice cruise, have to keep a wide margin of error on public roads.
