View Full Version : Cars We Don't Know About....

Guys, I am amazed. There are so many cars around here that have LOTS of cool stuff done, and we don't even know about them. Example- I was at my new G/F's aunts house last night for dinner. Her uncle is a car fanatic, so him, I, and his friend had a good conversation about what I was doing in my hatchback, as well as their cars. Her uncle takes me in the garage and in the dark I see a siloete of what looks like a datson 280z. Sure as shit, there it sits. Beautiful car. White, 17" centerline wheels, 4pt. roll cage, clean interior. Overall nice car. We get to talking about it, and he pops the hood and starts it. Fully built roller motor 350 bored 30 over. Trick flow heads, edelbrock intake manifold and carb, beautiful car, purred like a kitten. Yet, I've never seen this car. I would never look at the car and think a think about it. We get into the conversation of rear wheel drive imports, and to my amazement, his friend has a daily driven S13 240sx w/ a silvia front end and an SR20DET. I never knew a thing about either of these cars, and they are ready to go out w/ us all sometime to the track... Good stuff!

Yup, I will get enough done that you can finish it without needing your car.... You're going to be putting in a LOT of work on this Aaron. :D

Its a learning process, if you ruin it, you will have had to sand on it FOREVER with 40 grit. Don't worry, it can be fixed. ;D

Amazing, I was gonna post about that car when I got home from the Memorial Day show. That dude came, he parked his Sil-eighty (Sil-40 if ya like) in the parking lot and I ran over and took bunches o' pics- first silvia conversion I've seen. rock on.

i have seen this car...or one just like it. me and some friends were "racing" people in a '94 MX-3 4cyl. auto. and this guy pulls up and i revved at him.(jokingly)and someone yelled, "we wanna see it run." then the guy said "show me the benjamins" we said "ummm no." then the light changed and he was just screwing around and just giving it a little gas and it jumps all over the place, and sounds awesome.

Great thread Mali. I've seen a few garage-kept sleepers that blew my mind too. People in NWA love their cars, I mean love their cars.. :victory:
