Anyone know where I can get some? From what I have seen, they are $350-$400. I am looking for some a little cheaper than that. If anyone knows or sees anything, keep me in mind....cash in hand presently. :maliwho:

Sounds like a great deal man, but I am trying to upgrade. I wish I could take them off your hands, though.

I forget which company does it, but you can always just have stock cams reground to the specs you want.
it's the ghetto way to cam your car.

Unless you want to pay $600-700 for new billet cams, its the only way. Don't be afraid of regrinds, just be afraid of who grinds them.
I think what Smokey was trying to say is, some people use the '91-93 exhaust cams; on the intake and exhaust side. If I remember correctly it allows for a bit more duration. I don't remember what all needs to be done to do that either.
What are you looking for? Stock cams? Aftermarket cams? For boost or NA? I know JWT (Jim Wolf Technology) makes cams for the KA motors.

Yeah, I was saying I got them for a core set you can use for regrinds.. KA cams are too fucking expensive and you can get damn near the same results from a regrind.. Or you can buy them and use the exshust cam on your intake side and get good results.. So buy them!! lol..

Can anyone help me out with the instuctions on how to replace the intake with exhaust? Is it farely simple?
How much does it usually cost to get the reground? I haven't heard of that...how would I search for someone that does that? Just a machine shop?

Brain swap? Oh, I don't want to get to far over your head. I am looking for information on how to get the best out my car, if you don't have USEFUL information to contribute, then don't get on my threads, seriously. Besides, I don't remember asking you. I was asking people with ACTUAL information. If you want to put information on my thread, then don't be so vague. I am looking for information, if you think you have information that I could benefit from, then by all means post it, but don't come on here being your stupid self.

The RB just cost to damn much. I would love to do it, but I am just not experienced enough for one thing and I don't have that kind of money. I am looking to do some mods to the s-13, I am just still doing some research.
I think I am going to buy a '96 teggie in a week, if it is still there. I am pretty excited about that!!
I don't think I am going to do the cams anymore. I spoke with CJ and he said when he did his, he said he got minimal power for what he paid. So, so I might do what you said and swap in the intake for exhaust instead of replacing them with Crower's or something. When I do the intake for exhaust swap, do I have to swap out the gear?

It sounds to me like you were trying to tell ME what I want. I did not just want exhaust cams, I want to replace both with some nice Crower's but I didn't want to spend $400 for them. I was trying to get advice on what to do instead of spending $400.

yeah, i knew what you were talking about. there is no point in buying a bad ass set of cams unless your doing a full engine/head build, that is why i recommended the 91-93 exhaust cam setup, way way way cheaper and more gains for the money spent.

you can use the cam gears you already have , i will dig up the thread soon on how to do it and post it but from what i remember you just put the 93 exhaust in place of the intake and then put the chain about 7 link away from the factory timing marks. ill also post some more info when i get home .....lol your not soppose to be able to get on the internet from work but im a gangster like that:thumbup: sorry i haven't got to your pm sam, i have been busy putting a turbo on a lexus sc300 + 40 hours at work.
edit: ps. i think the RB20 swap is going for cheaper than a good sr right now. but you will spend more trying to put it in. could be wrong though.

Actually, I have a dual cam. I was looking for a cheap way to mod my cams or buy more. I have been give the choices to ground down my present cams (stock), swap intake cam for exhaust cam, or spend $300 and buy Crower's. I think I have pretty much decided to do the intake for exhaust I did research on Google for that swap and I found a lot of info on it. Thanks for your help BRAIN!! :) If I need anything else I will ask, thanks :)

pretty sure they are the same. you don't have to change mounts when you go from sohc to dohc.
if your skilled its a cheap fix but some good window weld or polyurethane construction adhesive around them mounts will stiffen em up some.....
as far as cams......i think with a good N/A no nO2 build a simple Ex cam-swap is good...Crowers stage 2's are better, but the money for gains can be well placed in other areas first ;)
